Nolan Witman Obituary News: In loving memory of Charter School of Wilmington student

Witman, Nolan Eugene

Nolan Eugene Witman, 18, of Hockessin, passed through the Golden Gates of Paradise on Sunday, January 2, 2022. Nolan is in our Father’s care and in His kingdom. While we are assured of Nolan’s fate in the hereafter, we are acutely aware of and feel the hole he left on this planet.

Nolan’s legacy will be determined by how he lived rather than how he died. He lived a long time. And if you knew him, he’d make you live as well. He could concoct a strategy in a matter of minutes and persuade you to believe it.

Nolan put his heart and everything into whatever he did. The beast within the 5’2″ height could not be contained. Nolan never passed judgment on anyone and welcomed them for who they were. He didn’t just have a few friends; he had a whole world of them. Nolan was a natural athlete. He was ecstatic to get the senior superlative “class clown.” He was sympathetic and sensitive. He didn’t want you to know about it, though. He was a Mustang fanatic. He was a huge fan of track and field. He was a huge football fan. He was a huge Ravens fan. His pals meant the world to him. He cherished his brothers and was deeply attached to his family.

Nolan is survived by a large number of friends and family members. Please pray for his mother, Wendy Eastburn-Teal, and her partner, Michael Hamby, Sr.; father, Glen Witman and his wife, Jennifer; siblings, Henry Witman, Callirissa Hamby, Michael Hamby, Jr., Breanna Brayerton, and Samuel Witman; maternal grandparents, Carol and James Teal and Warren and Elizabeth Eastburn; paternal grandmother, Virginia Wingate; maternal uncles, Thomas Eastburn, Robert Teal, and James Teal; patern
