VIDEO: 1 dead, 3 injured in crash on SR-104 near US-33

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WBNS) — According to authorities, one person was killed and three others were injured in a three-car incident on state Route 104 near U.S. Route 33 in southeast Columbus on Saturday night.

The collision occurred just after 11:15 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of state Route 104, according to police.

In critical condition, one individual was transported to Mount Carmel East. That victim was pronounced deceased at 11:55 p.m., according to police.

Grant Medical Center was visited by three persons. Their situation has been assessed as stable by police.

For several hours, State Route 104 was closed in both directions at U.S. 33, but it has since reopened.

A jackknifed semi-tractor trailer was involved in the initial crash, which occurred around 7:45 p.m.

A fuel spill was reported, and police officers and firefighters were trying to clean it up. At the scene, one individual was treated.

One vehicle was involved in a second crash in the westbound lanes of I-270, west of I-71.

One individual was brought to Riverside Methodist Hospital, according to Columbus police. The person’s condition was reported as stable by police.
