VIDEO: Chris Brown & Normani Dance In His New ‘WE (Warm Embrace)’ Video – Hollywood Life

Normani could be the perfect dance partner for Chris Brown. With a sizzling salsa-inspired dance in his new video for ‘WE (Warm Embrace),’ the former Fifth Harmony member helps Chris turn up the heat.
Normani isn’t a featured artist on Chris Brown’s new single, “WE (Warm Embrace),” but she’s all over the music video for it. Chris, 33, meets up with Normani in his home after having difficulties sleeping in the video promoting his upcoming BREEZY album (released June 24). Normani’s persona is the woman Chris has been fantasizing about, and the two begin a sensual dance that ends with Normani straddling Chris’s knee.

Normani and Chris decide to take a swim just as the action heats up. The video’s motif is “falling,” and Chris falls into a pool for Normani — or, in this instance, alongside her. Normani exposes a lot of skin when her skimpy dress becomes wet, but Chris keeps his clothing on. Chris and Normani are back on dry land, dancing and hugging in his car after some underwater flirting. Then, out of nowhere, a UFO appears and whisks Normani and Chris away.
The video finishes in space, just as it began, with the fate of the two characters unclear. Was Normani an extraterrestrial sent to Earth to steal Chris’ heart? Was Chris hallucinating that he was falling at the beginning of the video, or was he reliving previous kidnappings? Who will be in charge of cleaning the pool?

Arrad directed “WE (Warm Embrace),” and the video begins with a sneak preview clip of Brown’s track “Sleep At Night.” Chris’ new track, “Call Me Every Day,” features rapper WizKid, and the video follows closely behind. Chris’s new album, BREEZY, will feature the songs “WE (Warm Embrace),” “Call Me Every Day,” and the previously released “Iffy.” H.E.R., Jack Harlow, Fivio Foreign, and others appear on the album, which will be released on RCA Records this Friday. When Chris goes on the road with Lil Baby for the One Of Them Ones Tour, fans will be able to hear the songs live. (For further information, see here.)

Normani makes a cameo in this video months after releasing her emotive new track “Fair.” “What made it so remarkable was that it captured me in the moment as I was experiencing,” she said on Apple Music 1 to Zane Lowe. “Real-time.” I was having such a hard time emotionally that I wasn’t sure I could even get myself to go to the class that day. But it all worked out in the end, and this was the result. It’s also a form of therapy for me. It’s for me as much as it is for everyone else. Putting this record out is very incredible. I had no idea it was going to be for me as well.”
“I’m really proud of how it was written and how we were able to…,” she continued. “You could tell this was written entirely by women, couldn’t you?” We simply poured our hearts out to one another, and we had all gone through the same thing. As a result, the lyrics came out much more easily. It was as if the floodgates had opened. That’s exactly what we did. It was more of a therapeutic experience. “Girls just spilling out their emotions to one another.”
