(KTIV) CYLINDER, Iowa – After an accident in Palo Alto County on Sunday evening, one person was killed and another was injured.
The driver of a pickup truck was approaching a little right curve on Highway 18 east of Cylinder, Iowa. The motorist missed the turn, crossed the center line, and nearly collided with an eastbound vehicle.
Landon Schiek, 26, of Algona, Iowa, was the driver of the automobile and died as a result of his injuries. The truck driver was airlifted to a Mason City hospital.
The accident is still being looked into.
