A social media star and model named Niece Waidhofer committed suicide. She was 31.
After a protracted struggle with mental health concerns, Niece tragically took her own life, her family informed TMZ. She was quite forthcoming with her fans about her troubles and even wished to support anyone who experienced similar difficulties.
According to TMZ, a charity organization called “Peace From Niece” would be established in her name to support research into mental illness and mental health.
In a phone call last month, a worried family member urged police to visit Waidhofer in her Houston, Texas, home, according to what the police department told TMZ.
There was where her body was found.
The model had 4.2 million followers on Instagram, where she frequently published original content that she had both photographed and written. But when her account was abruptly deleted, her fans were concerned. She only left three posts online on her Facebook in the weeks before she passed away.
Waidhofer reportedly made an effort to be open with her Instagram followers about her difficulties with mental health, according to her relatives.
Niece was more than just her problems, according to her family. She was attractive and sweet, perceptive and amusing, talented and creative, kind and giving, deliberate and demanding. Though saying goodbye is incredibly heartbreaking, we find solace in the knowledge that she has been reunited with her father, her three grandparents, her beloved Puff, and her uncle Rusty, and that she is now free to be herself and, at long last, at peace.
